Shallow Mount Road Blocker
In the field of modern perimeter security, when reinforcing entry and exit points against the threat of Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM), road blocker systems must possess robust containment capabilities and meet high security requirements. Traditional deep-buried road blockers require large-scale, disruptive excavation work, which may endanger underground utility lines and infrastructure.
Shallow mount hydraulic road blocker effectively solve this engineering challenge. By redistributing the impact force horizontally—rather than relying solely on deep vertical foundations—they provide top-tier impact protection while minimizing the depth of on-site excavation.
The core metric for evaluating any Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) barrier is its certified kinetic energy absorption capacity. This barrier has been professionally designed and structurally validated to effectively withstand impact threats from heavy-duty vehicles, in compliance with the Chinese GA/1343-2016 standard. It successfully intercepted a 6,800 kg (approximately 15,000 pounds) medium-duty truck traveling at 80 km/h.
Equivalence to International Standards: This protection level is structurally equivalent to the internationally recognized ASTM K12 / M50 standard, ensuring that vehicles are unable to cross the barrier line and are rendered inoperable upon impact.
Road Blocker Case in China
Over the past 20 years, Jietian has completed more than 1,000 road blocker projects in China.
To ensure consistent and reliable performance under high-intensity operational demands, this roadblocker system employs a high-pressure hydraulic drive system. Drive mechanism: Heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders paired with an independent hydraulic power unit (HPU). Compared to electromechanical gear drives, hydraulic drive systems are the preferred solution for high-security applications because they are unaffected by mechanical wear and can withstand extremely high pressures.
Motor Specifications: Power output ranges from 1.5 kW to 3.7 kW, depending on the custom width and weight of the barrier panel; rapid raising and lowering is ensured even for extra-wide barrier panels.
